Happy Birthday body pH!
Journey in year one

We made it, it’s officially been 1 year since body pH launched and what – a -year it’s been!

Body pH was started from a desire to help women who experience body perspiration with under-boob
sweat and it’s been insightful to see, hear and learn how many other women experience it and have
welcomed the brand with open arms and supportive words.

Since we’ve gone public, we’ve gone through pop-ups events, collaborations, podcasts and more and we
know that this is just the beginning.

Thank you to all who have placed their orders, shared their lovely words through comments, reviews, and
cheers. These all do not go unnoticed, and it is truly appreciated. You give body pH it’s customer-oriented
goals – to feel comforted, supported and confident.

To sum up the year, this blog has been split up quarterly to detail the key highlights throughout the year.

February - April 2024

Whilst the website was underway, I visited my manufacturer, who are based in Northern England for the
first time to pick up the first production order and it felt surreal to see and feel all the sizes and colours of
the Don't Let Them See You Sweat bra liner. It was also great to meet with the team at the manufacturer in person after months of
communicating via Zoom calls and emails.

Side note: If you have hopes to have your own business and have your products created, it is vital to
build a good working relationship with your manufacturer and their team as you will be in constant
communication together and need to understand how to engage and collaborate with one another.

One week, prior to the official launch date, I had a soft launch by showcasing the bra liners on a pop-up
stall in a gym after being asked by the manager to reveal the bra liners to gym girlies. This was the first time talking about body pH

to the public in person. It was an exciting day, filled with adrenaline, excitement from women who

were members of the gym and support from loved
ones.

9th February – OFFICIAL LAUNCH DAY!! The day started off doing final touches to the website and
having last minute meltdowns. After overcoming that, the website launched in the AM to the public based
in the UK. To celebrate this momentous occasion, I took myself out on a solo brunch date, picked up a
gorgeous bunch of flowers and filled my office space with star, helium balloons. It felt surreal to know that
a project that you have been working on for nearly 4 years has officially launched to the public and there
was no turning back. After being committed for this long to the business and putting trust in it, I was just
excited to start seeing and hearing people’s comments about it and the products. It was honestly, one of
the proudest days of MY LIFE.

Not long after the official launch, body pH received the first 2 orders! The moment I saw the Shopify
notification, I felt my heartbeat double in those few seconds. It now started to feel real that body pH is an
official business that now has customers.

A couple more orders followed, and body pH received it’s first review and tag in Instagram! It is fulfilling to
see customers enjoying your products and being so kind to leave a review. What kept me going whilst
building body pH was wanting to help other women who experience under-boob sweat and seeing
women post positive words about the bra liners is tremendously heart-warming and content to know that I
am indeed helping them.

May - July 2024

Spring/Summer has officially begun in the UK and body pH has moved on to the next steps to make the
public more aware of the business. We collaborated with some lovely influencers who are advocates for the
bigger bosom community and we also launched our first meta-ad campaign, both of which helped to bring some
more customers to our online shop which resulted in more selfies in the post office 😊

After the pre-launch pop up at the gym, I started to brainstorm other places and groups of potential
customers that I could reach out to showcase the bra liners to and it suddenly dawned on me,
“menopause... hot flushes”.... I did some research, attended an online seminar that discussed some facts,
symptoms tips and advice on menopause and pursued to research shows in London that discusses
menopause and came across an event called Pause Live! This event focuses to broaden women’s
knowledge on their health from menstruation to menopause. I decided to take the leap and signed body
pH as an exhibitor, and it was full steam ahead to get everything sorted for the show in September.

Body pH reached a milestone as we had reached 500 followers in Instagram! We also hit another
milestone by joining our first Instagram live to talk about body pH and the bra liners with Lisa Nash a
presenter at Pause Live who’s an advocate for women’s health. Was I nervous about doing a live
stream? YES, MOST DEFINITELY! But, if you want to make your business known, you must push past
your comfort zones in many ways. Sometimes, those comfort zones, could surprise you and you come to
learn that the experiences aren’t as bad as your mind sets them up to be. This is what doing the
Instagram live helped me to learn and I now don’t fear unfamiliar experiences as much as I did,
previously.

August - October 2024

On the day of Pause Live 2024! It was immersed with inspiring talks on a live stage, educational
workshops and exhibitors selling healthcare and wellness products to help women.  This event was very engaging as I

spoke with multiple women, listened to their stories on their experiences with hot flushes/under-boob sweat, networked

with entrepreneurs who were also exhibitors. I also learned more about the female body and understood more on

menopause, the symptoms and the impact it can have on your life.

After numerous comments on posts and DM’s from women based outside of the UK expressing desires
to order the Don’t Let Them See You Sweat bra liners, it was time to finally offer international shipping.
Focusing on the locations where those potential customers were based, body pH now currently ships orders within the
UK, EU, Canada, USA and Australia.

As we journey through the year, I have had the privilege of meeting some truly inspirational women who
are making a significant impact in their respective fields. Among these remarkable individuals are Saterra
and Madison, the dynamic duo behind the engaging podcast, All Things Boobs. On this podcast, they
share stories of their experience with having bigger busts, product reviews, recommendations, and
having discussions to educate women on bras for bigger busts. They invited me to be a guest to discuss
body pH, what inspired me to start the business, the bra liners and of course boobs! I personally enjoy
listening to podcasts and was excited to join Saterra and Madison. The confidence built from the
Instagram live experience with Pause Live helped me to feel calm yet pumped to share my story on the
All Things Boobs podcast. As a busty woman, it’s great to see that women are building a platform to have
discussions about boobs, to share insight, advice and product recommendations to other women to make
them feel heard and more supported.

November 2024 - Janaury 2025

Following on from a much-needed sunny holiday in October, I began to look at some tasks that I had been delaying
for some months. Feeling refreshed after a break away, made me feel more creative and gave me the
sudden urge to start expanding body pH. The first task was to set up email newsletters. Now, that I felt
more familiar with the branding for the business, I designed, curated and sent out the first official
newsletter to our subscribers. The next task was to start a blog on the website – something that
my brain made me feel was going to be a difficult task. Once I started to note down blog post ideas, it
was easy to start typing away! A new blog will be posted on the body pH website every fortnight. One of
the creative ideas that had sprung to mind, was to create a colour themed styling guide on how our bra
liners can be worn, whether it’d be going to the gym, a daytime causal look or an evening look. These
style guides will be posted on the body pH site on a monthly basis.

To sum it up, I can’t believe it has already been one year into body pH. Not only has the business grown, but I too have
grown as a person and as an entrepreneur. Spending nearly 4 years growing the business in prep for the
launch, going through difficult hurdles and times of not feeling motivated, has been worthwhile as the
journey post launch has been unexpected in the best ways possible and I look forward to seeing what year 2 brings.

If you made it to the end, thank you so much for reading and

thanks again for your support towards me and body pH!
